Hi-arah2 is the predictor for a more severe peanut allergy. For example if your child was only positive for arah8 that would mean their allergy is more focused on birch pollen ie not as serious--would be the oral allergy syndrome that encompasses itchy mouth etc. This is a huge clarification. If your allergist does not know about this or offer this test. You need to find a new allergist asap. As for epi--get an avqui--it is more user friendly. More expensive though although look for coupons on the web. Basically aviqui talks you through a reaction and you put it on your thigh and it does the injection so there is no stabbing in leg like an epi. I find these are easier for playdates as you don't want to freak people out. Level 3 means not in range to do food challenge but your child can still outgrow possibly. Check out Dr. Li from Mount Sinaii hospital. She is doing amazing things to help children outgrow food allergy.
