Yes, please refrain from using information that you have put together to identify and "out" other posters. The private school community is fairly small and once you know the school, how many siblings, that two went to Ivies, it is NOT that hard to figure out the family.

I'm the person who posted a simple question to the "2 grads and 1 US student" poster, asking whether she was the same person who had posted previously about her children and experiences. I gather from the missing posts and the scolding tone above that some people complained. To be clear, the details I cited were not some magical feat of "connect the dots" or otherwise "putting together" of information. They were the exact details that were previously posted by someone (I assume this same person), all in one post. Indeed, the details I included were far less complete than what she willingly disclosed in her prior posts.

Jeff, if you read this, I certainly apologize to you for any offense I caused, since it was not my intent to cause harm or "out" anyone.

Looks like you need this explained to you. The PP may have given the additional info about herself, but that was on a different thread. Not, as you say, "all in one post" on this thread. Instead, on this thread she gave a mediocre assessment of the school, together with minimal info about herself. Thanks to you linking the two threads ("connecting the dots"), however, people could figure out exactly which parent at the school was giving the mediocre assessment. Sorry if you take offense to the "scolding tone" but it seemed necessary.

13:45 again. And your cursing at other posters didn't go unnoticed, either, before those posts were deleted with your other posts.

I think 22:35 and has been given the appropriate beat down. Let's move on folks. Nothing else to see.

Sidwell is great and all, but it is not for every child. I really encourage people to look at a variety of schools and find the one that is the best fit for YOUR CHILD.

How many applicants got rejected for K each year?

When I went to an admissions playdate there, I saw about 35-40 other K applicants. I'm not sure how many K playdates there are, but I heard about 5-7. That all suggests about 175-280 applicants for 24 slots. Tough odds.

Not including siblings, who have a separate play date in one big group.
