Commuting to daycare with an infant

We commute in from Alex to downtown everyday. I appreciate the extra precious minutes with him. We play music, he has books/games to entertain himself, and sometimes he just relaxes (especially at the end of the day, which I actually think is great--time for him to recoup etc.) and I would much prefer to have him with me than be in daycare longer (and studies support longer days in daycare are harder on kids, though marginally).

wouldn't sweat it at all if you're driving. I had to do bus then metro then walking with a baby--in winter it sucked, esp when things were crowded and everyone sick. Got a nanny with #2.
