When do I start defrosting the turkey?

Ew. I just read this and while I guess it's safe, it just sounds so wrong. Throw it in the oven WITH the giblets bag still inside!?

Just combine bringing with thawing - take turkey out of freezer now, put it fridge. Wed night put turkey in trashbag in a big bowl or big pot, add a brine (use one of the long brine recipes with half salt). Cook as usual Thursday am. Really good!

Drop it in a deep fryer frozen and make sure to video it and post on you tube.
