My first Thanksgiving menu - comments please

Are you serving an Indian crowd? People are very married to their idea of what Thanksgiving food should be. The whole meal is basically about tradition. The menu is fine in and of itself, but personally, I would not be happy with this menu. But, you know your guests.

Is the carrot/green bean dish mostly carrot? Or mostly green bean?

I think you need more green. Maybe something involving spinach and/or kale.

I guess it's based on what your guests expectations are. On Thanksgiving I love good old fashioned Thanksgiving dinner. So I would be turned off. But if your crowd doesn't have that expectation and does like spicey food then it could work great.

No stuffing (or, as the hoity-toity call it, dressing)?!?!?! Seriously? I don't know what meal this is, but it ain't Thanksgiving.

I think it sounds fantastic! My gang is very tied to the traditional meal but I would so much prefer to eat what you've described here.
