You just know somewhere out there someone in now thinking "Croydon! How perfect!". And it's a horrid place and a horrid name.

This PP makes a good point - Adrian the way iti's spelled is masculine, but if you're saying it could be mistaken as Adrienne.

I'd think of Jack London, and so a boy's name. Interesting that it's more often a girl's name.

There's London on that Zac & Cody show. That's a girl (and an annoying one at that).

The only kid that I've known with that name is a girl.

I'd get away from any place names as a name. I'm sort of regretting using a city name for my child. I love his name, but I think these names are going to drop off the face of the planet and be extremely unfashionable in a few years. I think it's happening now.

I met a little girl named "Denver" a few weeks ago. I wonder how she is going to feel about it when she's 45.

Girls name....please don't do it.

NONONO. London Tipton is a fatuous character in "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody". Airhead moron. The name is a play on Paris Hilton's name and life, except in this case the hotel is owned by the Tipton family, not Hilton, and the unflattering character is a London instead of Paris.

Reminds me of that former housewife Peggy on the Real Housewives of Orange County who named her girls London and Capri.

+10000

And no to London, girl or boy. Sounds aspirational.

East-london or west-london?
Is the 2nd name bridge or tower?
Is your brother called big ben?
Do you have an aunt called buckingham palace?

I assume you are looking for a name for a dog. If you really must, you could call the baby brittany, charles, diana, kate or william

BTW, London is now #94 for girls, more popular than Lydia, Kaitlyn, Violet, Angelina, Paige, Ruby, Piper, and Mary. So it's rather feminine.

By contrast, London is #561 for boys, behind Alvin, Boston, and Nelson but still more popular than Rhett, Jermaine, and Roy.

What a useless statistic. You're saying it's a totally obscure name.

THAT'S why I think girl when I hear the name. I knew there must have been a reason. My youngest used to love Suite Life.

"Manchester"? "Westend"?"Oxbridge"?

I actually do have a dog named London - named after Jack London, although she's female.
