Anal Itching...Never Truly "Clean" Down There Anymore (Thanks DD!)

3rd vote for a bidet. I have a hard time feeling clean too, OP and get my share of mud butt. The bidet is spectacular for this. My kids use it too.

Dry gauze or cotton ball at anus opening (not inside!) works like a charm. Advice from a colo-rectal surgeon (not me).

For me, itching is due to small hemorroids, and also sometimes if I eat dark chocolate or certain kinds of nuts. Not a leakage problem. I found doctors don't like to investigate this sort of thing, but you might go to a GI, perhaps a nurse practicioner orPA. The guy who did my colonoscopy was uninterested, and my Gyn is also, and the dermatologist. They just prescribe anti=itch creams. The only one who really tried to figure it out was a femal PA.

I'll sell you a Toto S-400 bidet for $50 less than you can find online.

I think mine is due to an internal hemorrhoid. However, I've driven myself crazy thinking I have pinworms.

I have an anal fissure and it hurts. It does not itch - ever.

12:13 here - sorry to say that this has gone on for about 3 years. I do think it is a hemorroid that flares up when irritated, either by diarrhea or by foods I eat (they say often chocolate). Just can't get rid of it, just try to control it.

Costco has a toilet seat/bidet in store for $200. My DH knows how to install them and he's not terribly handy.

I have had this issue for 18 months after having two kids. I got a prescription anti itch cream which helped break the cycle of itching which leads to irritation and then more itching. I have also tried Lotrimin joch itch spray which ended up working, so maybe it is a fungal problem.
