Pumas to wear with jeans?

I love my puma ballet flats.....however have to replace every year as they get stinky like any non sock wearing shoe.

When mine start to get stinky, I just throw them in the washing machine with detergent and borax and they come out great (got two years of wear out of them).

When I lived in Berlin trendy women of all ages wore the suede puma sneakers with jeans and casual pants. It is a walking/biking/public transit society. Also old sidewalks favor them...I gave up the heels (unless it was a night out).
