How long were you off birth control pills before conceiving?

I was on the pill for five years before going off it. I purposely went off it about six months before we planned to start trying, to give my cycles time to even out. I'm 99.9% sure I ovulated that first month (crazy breast tenderness, among other symptoms), and we got pregnant the second month of trying.
My GYN said to give my cycles a month to even out, but I wanted more time. |
