Thoughts on assisted suicide...I'm sorry if this offends some people

What does this do to life insurance policies which have a no payout if there's a suicide provision?

Had one family member do that. Traumatized one of the daughters so much that she spiraled out. Guess what she did about five years later. yup.

Blowing your brains out is not a death with dignity.

How shallow can you be. Get a gun and blow your brains out makes one monster assumption... that one has the physical ability to do so.
An ALS vicitm who waiting until they were little more than a talking head couldn't do it, the Dementia patient couldn't do it. The terminal phase cancer patient may not have sufficient strenght and if a care giver does the task there have been numerous cases where zealous prosecutors charge the caregiver, be it a husband or wife seeking to end his loved ones agony, with murder

I voted for the MA ballot question on assisted suicide. I felt that it was good to take a stand to allow people to die with dignity. However, it also took a leap of faith that the law will be used judiciously.
