Hang in there (PP with daughter with this problem and now I have the ovarian cyst). Are you going to PP? Is there a church or temple near you that may help? Some churches were mentioned above. Do you have access to anyone?

As to the cancer question, a blood test is run (at least for ovarian cysts- that's all I can speak to) called a CA-125 after the cyst was found on the sonogram. Elevated traces of something (you can tell I'm not a doctor) inform the doctor if the cyst might be cancerous.

I can't speak to fibroids but many women have them.
