+1. I love my daughter's bins. She started sorting her clothes at 2.5. Way easier to do that with bins than drawers. |

My 8 and 12 year old's rooms are disasters. They put away their own clothes but toss them into unwieldy heaps after I've folded them, and only after I have threatened them with taking away privileges if they didn't put them away. Their drawers are chaotic and 2-3 times a year I go in and make them neat and ask them to try to emulate that. But they don't care.
I also have to harass them about putting their dirty clothes into the baskets in their rooms and bring them to the laundry room to get washed. They have run out of clothes because they refused to do this and had to re-wear dirty ones. But I won't do it for them. This has been an ongoing issue for about 3 years now and you'd think they'd learn. I used to try to make it a fun game but that didn't help either. It's a struggle and I'm at my wits end with how messy they are. I've heard of kids who are naturally neat but they aren't mine. |
Do you have a link to the type of bins you're talking about? |
