Are you even remotely paying attention? Do you watch Obama or Biden speeches? Obama and Biden BARELY mention her. In his speech earlier this week, Biden said her name...not once. They are hammering McCain at every turn. She is barely a footnote. Please. I'd love for them to slam her on all of her anti-women policies--they would be WELL within their rights, since the Republicans prop her up as some beacon of feminism. Making rape victims pay for their own rape kits? I may vomit.

Riiiiiighhhht...and Obama supporters have nothing to do with digging out every possible negative thing about her and spinning it to sound even worse. Obama's no dummy; he's not going to do the dirty work himself.

Um, what?

There are people paid to "investigate" and report what they find. They are called "journalists," and some of them even do their job. Like, researching the policies, record, and decisions of someone who is running for NATIONAL office.

Also, I'm not sure how you can "spin" making rape victims pay for their own rape kits "sound even worse." Seriously, can you? And for the record, almost everything that has thus far come to light about Palin does not require much digging. Everything is out there in the public record for any 'ol biased person to find. You can look it up on the Internets.

But don't let the facts deter you from paranoia or water-carrying. I mean, they're just facts, right?

If McCain's people had vetted her, you wouldn't have every amateur sleuth in the country picking up what they should have. On one thing I do agree with you: Obama is no dummy.

Speaking of dummies, do we know who Palin's Edgar Bergen is? Jon Stewart's "blink" clip (see "ver well done" thread) seems to indicate it's the same guy who does Bush.

By leaving out key parts, that's how. The police chief (not the mayor) charged patients' insurance for the rape kit as part of the ER exam, not the patient herself. Second, this is actually the policy in a number of states (but no longer in Alaska). I'm not saying it SHOULD be the policy, but all the headlines screaming "While Mayor, Sarah Palin Charged Rape Victims for Their Own Rape Kits" is SPUN.

When she is touted as a beacon of feminism, this is all fair game.

Also, were they spinning her halving the budget of the Alaska Special Olympics?

With those politics my choice is CLEAR. We don't need another 4 years of Republican politics, just look at the state of our nation now.

No, clearly the only experience you need to know is that he was in a North Vietnamese prison camp for years!

Stephen Colbert had a great piece showing how when John McCain is criticized he always comes back with the fact that he was a POW. In which case (as Stewart or Colbert pointed out, I forget which), our next great leader is probably stuck right now in Guantanamo!

I'm getting so tired of McCain and company using this to deflect criticism. I'd love to see one in the press have the gonads to confront him on it.

Colbert and Stewart...that's just good journalism. Now, stop drooling on your shoes and take your meds.
