How do you manage a 1 year old sleeping in the same hotel room??

It depends on the kid, but with my kid, once he was out, he stayed out. So we just had to be quiet for a while until he fell asleep and then everything was fine.

If it's more than one night and you start to get bored being in all evening, trade off with DH. He can go to the gym/hotel bar etc. one night, you go the next - just so you both feel like you're not spending the entire vacation in the room.

Even regular rooms tend to have some kind of entry/hallway before you get to the area with the bed. You can put your baby to sleep there bc there is usually a separate light there that you can turn off. Then you can stay near the bed/tv with at least some light and noise. When you're ready to go to sleep, you can always just wheel the crib forward so that it doesn't feel like DC is sleeping unattended at the door of the hotel room.

Got the free crib they offered from the hotel... sanitized best we could, brought our own sheets.

Wheeled crib into hotel bathroom. Yes, butted it right up against the shower, sink, and toilet.

Put my beautiful little baby boy in the crib when it was bedtime and he went right to sleep.

Made DH go to lobby bathroom to poop.

Ordered room service and watched movies with DH until we both fell asleep

+1

(and why do they always have to poop??? )
