Poll: what is the age difference between you and DH/DW?

I am 4.5 years younger than DH. My mom is 1 year younger than my dad. MIL and FIL are the same age.

I am 4 years older than my DH. He is in great shape, but people still think he is older than me. He often says that since women live longer than men, we are well-matched to spend max years together.

My husband is 4 years older than I am.

My father was 15 years older than my mother.

My husband's father is 5 or 6? years older than his mom.

But my one brother is 11 years older than his wife (she is a year younger than I am), and my other brother is 9 years older than his wife.

DH just turned forty and had a physical today. I'm 6 years younger and never thought that was a big difference, but after hearing about his physical and his colonoscopy consultation, I'm thinking it seems like a big gap in our current ages.

Absolutely not!! My father is 10 years older than my mother, and often treated her like a child. As I went on in life, I also came to feel that men's presumptions of entitlement to younger, prettier women were bogus.

My DH is about a year older than I. We are almost alone among our acquaintances, most of whom have 4 or 5 year differences between partners... but always in the husband's favor. Pisses me off, actually. I joke that if my DH and I met today, I'd be considered too old for him at 39 to his 40. He'd be expected to find someone OP's age!

I am 5 years older than my husband. My mom is 1 year younger than my dad. My mil is 26 years younger than my fil.

we're 16 months apart. he's older

my parents are 11 months apart. my mom is older

his parents are 16 years apart, his dad is older

Us: DH is 7 years older than I am.

His parents: FIL is 7 years and 1 day older than MIL.

My parents: Dad is 2 years older than Mom.

Funny story - when DH and I started dating and way before things were serious, he completely freaked me out by telling me that his parents were really excited that he (just like his dad in 1958), was dating a blonde from Connecticut who was 7 years younger. I almost dumped him over that!

DH is 20 days older than I am.

My dad is 1.5 years older than mom. Not sure about in laws. Two or three years, I think. They're divorced. FIL remarried a woman who is maybe four years his junior.

DH is 2 years older to the day; we have the same birth day, just not year (I also have a twin so the 3 of us celebrate together).

My dad almost exactly 2years older than my mom (minus4 days).

I think my FIL was 2years older too.

My mom is 18 months older than my dad. MIL and FIL are only 2 weeks apart.

My Dh is about 5.5 years older than I am. We married when he was 28 and I was 23.

My Dad is about 2 years older than my mom. They married when she was 24 and he was 26.

I think my MIL was about 1 year old than FIL? I believe they were about 24/23 when they married.

DH is 19 years older than me, but he's in shape and looks a lot younger than he is.
My parents are 3 years apart, DH's are 2

DH is 8 months younger than me.

My mom is 9 months older than my dad.

I don't know the exact breakdown, but MIL was slightly younger than FIL (but born in same year).

I was just thinking about this today. I know a woman, now divorced, whose husband was 15 years older than she. I was thinking, wow, if my DH were 15 years older, I'd be married to a 55 year old. Yuck (for now; probably not when I'm 55). DH is 10 months older than me.
