Ok the sheets from Garnet Hill are Portugese NOT German. I don't know that Portugal is known for its craftsmanship in sheets, so...but the penguin ones are cute... |

I grew up with fleece sheets in the winter. It does get down to minus forty here. A few years ago I tried fleece sheets. I was sure I wouldn't like them, but they are wonderful to sleep on.

Portugal and Germany make great flannel sheets. They're harder to find, I think because of the weak dollar, U.S. companies aren't importing them as much as they once did. |
I've bought German flannel sheets from Garnett Hill. |
I want these. I do believe of the flannel sheets I've bought from GH, my favorites were made in Germany.

Oh ok. I recommend flannel sheets. And fennel seeds. |

Bought these a month ago.
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/The-Seasons-Collections-reg-100-Cotton-Flannel-Sheets/203279?categoryId=12019 LOVE THEM. Deep pocket Queen fit nice. I then bought a twin set for my kids. They are warm on a cold night. |
Lands End 6 oz flannel. Fitted sheet actually fits our deep mattress. Flat sheet is a bit skimpy compared to the depth of the mattress. Fine for sleeping, but you have to tell your inner-Martha that it is OK if the sheets don't tuck in very well along the sides. Or buy a king sheet for a queen bed. |
