How much is being able to work from home 100% worth?

I work at home 100% and my kids do not attend aftercare. They take the bus and walk home by themselves, say hello to me, get themselves a snack, and do their thing in another part of the house while I work.

They are 13 and 11.

I get so frustrated with people who get pissy about not making as much as another person and yet they do nothing to try and increase their own salary. YOu have no one to be angry with but yourself, OP, for not being a louder advocate for yourself. No one else will do it for you.

OP here. I did try but was basically told to shove it. I know the only way is to leave. However, that will change the whole routine we have now. My ex is no help at all and I have no family here.

I agree with you though. I think I will start looking and then try to negotiate again when I have an offer. I am too angry to let it go on like this.

OP here. No, I don't think so. They were laid off because they were not doing their job.

OP, the flexibility of being able to work from home as a single mom is GOLDEN.

I would stick with this job until your child is old enough to stay home alone while sick.
