"Parenthood" is back

Love it! Have a child on the spectrum and it's nice to see the portrayal of a family dealing with this. Also, I like that they are looking at the taboo issue of relationships after adoption and/or foster care. There may not be instant love. It can take work and grow over time.

American Idol guys' name is Paul. He was the guy who wore quirky outfits and he moved in a quirky way. I liked him on AI.

I really like Ray Ramono's character. Anyone heard if he's going to be on for many episodes?

Oh, also, was that the American Idol guy at the recording studio last night? He was so damn sexy!

I'm the PP who said it was so predictable. So yes, I predict he will be around, will have romantic tension or even relationship with Laura. Will be the reason she breaks up with her fiance. And it will be a season cliffhanger what happens between him and Laura.

I absolutely love this show. I put the premiere on my Outlook calendar (which I share with my husband), so I could have an hour uninteruppted.

Ray romano was quite a surprise but i enjoy seeing him. he's a lot better for laura than that annoying HS teacher. yuck!

I really wanted to like this show, but I don't, so I didn't watch the newest episode.

I did like the storyline for raising a kid on the spectrum and Peter Strauss is great in everything he does. But Laura Graham reprising a washed-out Loreli Gilmore and the monotones of Monica Potter, and the kids who play Haddie and Drew really grates on my nerves. I also thought it was ridiculous that they had the Amber character apply to one college--Berkley no less, then completely give up on college b/c she didn't get in...Did the writers ever hear of safety schools?

I haven't heard someone say that they missed a show in a long time. Do you have a DVR? OnDemand? NBC App?

YES. You can see this one coming a mile away. That HS teacher has weird teeth. Guys with weird teeth never prevail.

Was this episode only an hour or longer? I feel like I missed something, like they started in the middle of somewhere even though I watched the season finale.

They just picked up 5 months later without much filling in of what had been going on for the summer.

Love the show but though the season opener was a bit of a snore. I'm sure it will piv
Ck up the pace though.

By the way, it's Lauren Graham (or Sarah Braverman) not Laura. Just to avod confusion.

I like this show, but what is the deal with TV shows like this, Modern Family, etc. never showing a family with two working parents? Why is that such a taboo on TV?

lol yes I do normally DVR it. I have a new one though and forgot to set it. I was waiting until ten to watch and just got distracted right before it started like a dufus. I will check it out online though.

I find the Amber a tad annoying and overdone but did cry when she left for school. My daughter is only 2 but I started getting misty eyed about her future departure to colleg.

I miss the Bob Little storyline. It was sweet and cute.

Ray Romano was surprisingly NOT annoying.
Looking forward to the tension between him and "junior"...!
