Ryan did OK

I still, however, have no idea how they think they are going to slash taxes, reduce the deficit, and leave Medicare and defense intact; Ryan's plan doesn't guarantee any level of funding for Medicare at all inthe future, and Romney's plan is a lot of handwaving.

He tossed out a few numbers, most of which have already been discredited by Factchecker. Otherwise the speech was all over the place.

Oh, plus the fact that the Republicans, including Ryan, seem to think that rapists get to decide how many children a woman will have, and yet he believes in Americans' freedom to choose their own path.

you're not alone, PP - no one knows how they're going to do this, including the nominee himself. Which may be why he hasn't told us?

Um, no. Vert few people I know between 18-35, including those who have voted R in the past.

Just wait. The line about 23 year olds living in their childhood bedrooms staring at their Obama posters was brilliant.

I agree that insulting people is not likely to get their votes.

And although 23 is a long time in my past, I also felt insulted by the promise to save Medicare -- by vouchering it out of existence!
