Probably because the fruits and veggies are more satisfying, so you aren't eating as much. Candy bars and desserts are no more "fattening" than any other food. It's just that a cup of greek yogurt and a peach are going to hold you over a lot better than 2/3 of a snickers bar, so you won't overeat. (Sorry, I just don't like seeing foods labeled as "fattening" - foods aren't fattening, behaviors are!) |
