Thoughts on University of Richmond

How does it pale compared to other Va schools, PP? I was thinking it might be a better fit for my introverted DC than UVA, V Tech, or WM just based on the kids I hAve known who go to those schools. The kids I know from UR seemed a little less cookie cutter. But my sample size is very small. Is it easier/harder to get into than the aforementioned schools if you are from VA?

My best friend went to Richmond - and judging from her own professional achievements, work ethic and circle of friends they all did well career wise, loved the place and are living good lives. Over the years I have gotten to know them and they have all had interesting careers spanning the arts, finance, law and science - and all still tremendously close. Her husband went to Harvard, and her kids are excellent students who will have many options for college - Richmond is very much in the mix. Based upon my respect for my friend and her experiences there Ill look at it for my kids too.
