Can't remember. I think Tuckahoe and ATS were in it, but not Jamestown or Science Focus or Nottingham, for example. Don't hold me to those. BUt that's the sort of things they did.

There was a methodology for inclusion. They may not have been RANKED per se, but there was a methodology to justify inclusion on the list.

They don't assign number rankings to the schools. They simply list (in no particular) by county what they consider the best schools in Northern Virginia.

Wrong. Science Focus and Nottingham are on the list.

ACPS: Barrett, Macarthur, Mason, Lyles-Crouch.

APS: Science Focus, Traditional, McKinley, Nottingham, Taylor, Tuckahoe.

FCPS: I don't have the patience to list them all.

Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William, Stafford: who the hell cares?!

Is anyone else surprised that Waynewood is not on the list? I always thought that Stratford Landing and WW were on par and many say Waynewood is better.

I think there are several FCPS schools that didn't make their list that should have and a couple I'd take off too.

That's just it. I mean, a N. Arlington list without Jamestown? Really?

I said, "don't hold me to those."

My larger point was the list seemed arbitrary as to what was on it and what wasn't.

Loudoun County is the richest county in the USA. If someone thinks they can dismiss those very well educated and high achieving families with a quote such as "who the hell cares"?...they surely have missed the past two decades. Check the facts....the 21st century facts...LCPS are among the very BeST...in the country...not just NoVa.

Pretty sure the comment implies ho one should care about Loudoun (and Facquier and Prince William because those are such exburbs that they're not as desireable as Arlington, Fairfax, Falls Church, etc.

But I'd remind that poster the magazine was "Northern Virginia" Magazine and not "Beltway" mgazine.

The reason people here aren't interested in the exurbs is because they are not part of DC. This is DC urban moms and dads. Not that they aren't desirable or not as good as other counties closer to the city, but really they are their own areas and not just an outgrowth suburb of DC.
