Absolutely. My daughter (I'm the OP) has done a ton of volunteer work and particularly likes working with kids with disabilities. She has worked all summer as a paid counselor in training at a day camp (for kids without special needs). She found the job on her own and has done a terrific job. The kids at the camp love her. I feel so good when I come to pick her up and the kids are hanging onto her telling her not to leave. It is going to be very hard for her to go from this environment back to school. |
