Silver Diner for foodies? really? I appreciate the farm-to-table idea, but fake diner food is just blah.
As much as I love the cheesesteaks at Anthony's, I also wouldn't add that to the list. Let's see...I'd add: Pupatella - casual pizza & gelato Cava Mezze - surprisingly kid-friendly every time I go - amazing service plus great food for kids (hummus, souvlaki, etc.) Elevation Burger - might be too casual though for this list? sweet green - has great little kids' plate, but maybe not the best atmosphere? I'm sure there are more - let me think about it more. |

Thanks to everyone for your thoughtful suggestions in Arlington, FC and McLean. There are definitely some patterns, and I am working on the exploratory list now. | Eat bar in Arlington has a great Sunday cartoon brunch and the chef has been very willing to accommodate my picky 3 year old. |
