Also loving this. Breakfast buffet sounds like an awesome end to a party. Can PP give a cost estimate?

I'm the embassy suites poster. Ill have to ask my dh what the room rate is but you can always google in the meantime. The only downsize is you can't invite a huge group. I think 4 kids is the max.

Oh and one other perk, they have a free happy hour in the lobby every evening. Free drinks for the adults (wine, beer, and mixed drinks) and snacks for the kiddos (popcorn, nachos with cheese and salsa).

These types of parties sound great in theory-but what about kids wandering into the hallways unsupervised? That would be such a worry to me--especially at an all girls party--I think omg, abduction scenario...I know it sounds paranoid--but who could ever forgive themselves if this happened on your watch. Any psycho could be wandering the halls of really any hotel.

I would assume the host parent would be watching the kids so the "abduction scenario" wouldn't be any different than any other public place.

They hit the pool first and then I give everyone quarters for the game room. Next we head pack to the room for pizza and cake and then the boys play video games the rest of the night. Its all their fav thingd. Oh and the breakfast buffet in the morning is amazing!

I have parents drop off and pick up from the hotel and order pizza when I get there. All I have to bring is the cake and quarters. Its a win win!

Jesus.

Jesus??

And yeah you sound paranoid. Weirdos are everywhere, what makes a hotel worse than a waterpark or the lobby of the laser tag facility. Ive dropped off my kid for parties at both. At least at the hotel there were no crowds and we all stayed together.

A 10 yo neighbor had a video game truck come to his house for his bday party and the kids loved it. It's a large truck with comfy seats and the latest/ most popular video games. Before the party starts the parent hosts choose which games the kids can play (violent games off limits, etc.) I don't remember the name of the business, but you could google it.

Is this in the DC area?

Sorry I have to even ask that, but with all these out-of-state posters on this site nowadays, it's hard to know what's what.

Yes. They had this in the DC area. We seriously considered it for my 10 year old DD's birthday party. I think it's called Game Truck.

My ds (in DC) attended one of those viddo game truck parties. There are other options too, cant remember all of them but i do know one was laser tag. You would play outside.

My 10 year old would LOVE this! We really like LaserTag. That is always a hit.

My daughter went to a 10-year-old's birthday party at Rebounderz, an indoor trampoline place, in Sterling - had a blast.

There's also the Adventure Park in Sandy Spring.
