Capitol Hill Day School has a nice multi-age pre-K/K class that might be worth considering.

I have been under the impression that pre-k is equivalent to a preschool 4 yr old class. Jr. and transitional K are more like K for kids who are age ready for K but may not be actually ready for the rigors of K. So, I always thought of it as a half step in between pre-k and K. |
