Women, what do you think a female VP or Pres. will get you?

Anonymous

someone with Palin's views???? at least she HAS views and isn't a palm frond in the wind that will blow any-way like OBMAMA.........he has refrained from MANY controversial votes so his views are NOT known and mis-represented many others (those of you interested take a look at his record with the nuclear power industry in IL)

what has happened with the Democratic party this election is clear-

while they rely on our votes they are NO MORE inclined to accept a women at the fore

I mean come-on-

my role-model isn't some harvard educated lawyer who gives up her career for some guy.....

OBAMA is the dem guy who says he's all for women's rights but then slams the door in your face-

I'd much rather deal with someone who is open about their biases and open's the door for you----much easier to deal with

look back to the civil rights movement-45 years ago all those hard-working African American women who were at the front of the civil rights movement were NOT invited to speak in Washington when KING gave his speech-

45 years later-this---and again his mom is WHITE--so mixed race individual is keeping with the brotherhood-not many women on the podium....except his wife (harvard educated) trying to be the SAHM baking cookies model-makes me want to vomit

Totally Agree! So glad I'm not the only one out there who sees it.

I also agree. Women make up more than 60% of the Democratic Party, but we have no place on the ticket. Sorry, ladies. We are not worthy.

And I was sickened by Emil Jones, Obama's political mentor, calling a black HRC delegate an "Uncle Tom" at an Illinois delegation gathering Sunday.

3:54 here. Meant to say Jones called a black female HRC delegate an Uncle Tom. It reminded me of the vilification a black woman on DCUM said she has experienced as a result of her support for HRC.

Palin in the VP role will set women back not advance women and not just because of her policies!

We need a qualified woman. Putting an unqualified woman in office just because she is a woman and ultra pro-life will be a disaster for women breaking through the glass ceiling. The public image of the highest ranking elected female will be a joke as someone who is incapable but gets the role because she is a special minority.

PP- really only fair to say that if you have been elected and served as Governor. Have you? There have only been a handful of female governors in the history of the country, so I doubt it. I think the people who are so willing to quickly call her unqualified without looking at her amazing record of accomplishment are being a bit sexist.

You may want to consider how sexist it is to give someone a pass on having ANY relevant experience just because they are a woman. Palin feeds into the stereotype of the underqualified choice getting a position only by being a minority. This is not good for any minority group especially when there are so many qualified candidates out there.
