Creative protocol is not some unheard of new protocol. It's an established protocol best suited for an individual case. People are different. |
| I swear I could be a doctor at SG based on how they do their testing and protocols and once they decide you have bad egg quality that's it. They don't want to talk about DHEA or CQ10, it's very black and white. Heck, my doctor said acupuncture is useless which made me laugh considering their partnership with pulling down the moon. |
Sounds like that might be RE-specific and not SG wide. My RE was very supportive of acupuncture and CoQ10. DHEA is a bit more controversial. |
I feel like this too--I've had to push for what I wanted, and pushed hard, with the RE afterward saying "of course that was a no-brainer". Umm, I have emails turning me down the first couple of times I asked. |
| WE moved from SG to DF after one failed cycle and have been very happy with their DE program, mainly because of a proven donor. |
|
Even with Donor Egg there are no safe bets of getting positive results.
We moved to RBA and seem to be unlucky so far despite liking the place and our Doctor. Cycles ended up in miscarriage both times. |
I'm sorry--that really sucks. Have you been tested for clotting disorders and immune problems? Two DE miscarriages makes me suspicious that something else is going on. |
Get tested but if it was the same donor, it could be the donor. I got pregnant and had a miscarriage on my first DE cycle on SG's 1:3 program, and had 5 embryos left--was thrilled at first. Turns out ALL THREE couples got pregnant and miscarried AT THE SAME TIME. The doctor at first refused to even let me test my embryos, then agreed to that, then the genetic counselor said based on the data what was going on was probably not detectable. . .I fought tooth and nail not to use those embryos even though the refund programs required it. Two months of tears and they finally agreed to let me move to another donor--not out of compassion at ALL mind you, I think they just realized I'd be pulling out my money, as I'd made it clear I was not putting in embryos made by a woman with RPL. I realize I went off on a rant about the lack of compassion of the fertility industry, but my point is, when I was seeking support, a lot of the repeat DE failure/miscarriage stories I read involved the same donor--fresh cycle and frozen, both/all with bad results. |

The Two miscarriages with DE were with Immune treatment stuff and levenox, aspirin, etc. We had pre- testing done of all possible things with Colombia Fertility. First cycle: put 2 in Second Cycle: put another 2 Both times pregnant but miscarried at 7 weeks. After the second miscarriage that led to D*C we had it tested for genetic problems. It turned out that the hospital that performed the D8C did not take enough of a sample to perform a genetic testing! We also talked to our Doctor about it and he said with only one embryo left, the genetic testing on it could result in more damage that its worth and even then there is no guarantee that it was responsible for the miscarriages. We have one more embryo left |
I realized how angry I sound with SG--I'm actually quite grateful that they 1) have the best refund program and 2) they did come around. This is just such a tough and emotional process. Advocate for yourself. You will get through. |
