freezing blueberries - prewash or not?

I wash the berries, and put them on a cookie sheet in the freezer *while they are still wet* (spread out so they are not touching). Then I put the frozen blueberries in a freezer bag - it's great, they each have their own little ice coating so they don't stick together.
