Yes, the nonstick finish has held up fine. Normally, I use the paddle to scoop out rice, which is plastic and protects the surface, but more than once, I've used metal spoons and I've still not harmed the surface. Also, I bought a cookbook when I got the cooker. It's called something like, Not Your Mother's Rice Cooker, and it has been great for recipes like risotto (unusual and unorthodox, but tasty) and oatmeal and such. Enjoy! |
