I go to Wegman's. What health food can't get be purchased at a nice grocery store?

We eat health food...primarily fruit, nuts, grains, and veggies IF we do meat

glut food co-op in Mt. Rainier (MR) which is off route 1/Rhode Island avenue, and right next to WDC.

heads-up, it's NOT TJ/WF in that it's a little gritty, but they have a wide range of vegan and health lifestyle choices.

We moved from NYC a few years ago and have given up on finding spices in the district (we don't have a car so VA and MD shopping trips are pretty much out)

We stock up here everytime we're in NYC but you can order online too. Best spice shop ever!

For Asian spices, you can Metro to the Wheaton stop and H-Mart is about 3/4 mile up Georgia Ave, about a 10 minute walk.

Lots of spices at Takoma Park Silver Spring Coop. Take the metro to the Takoma Station.

I dont know how they manage it, but Bethesda Coop is just as expensive as WF and the produce is hit or miss.
