How often should I have the cleaners come?

OP here. Thanks for the suggestions. I thought if they come every week, they would stay for less so maybe the price would be comparable...?

No, you still pay more for weekly cleaning. Ours cots $110/week ($440/month), I think that it we did it every other week, it would cost about $140-150 ($280-300/month).

We do weekly. Used to do every other week and having it weekly was a huge improvement as 2 WOHP and 2 kids and dog. We do not pay less for weekly as she is doing the same stuff, just more often. I suppose you could have a cleaning person alternate some chores to keep the costs down. We pay $185/week (plus all taxes). We just have a person and she alternates long and shorter days - 5 hours on shorter days and 6-7 hours on longer days.

We have the cleaners (one woman, she stays for 3-4 hours each time) come every other week and it works out really well. That being said, it's just my husband and I are we are both super neat, so the cleaner is just doing a deep clean. I do not do anything aside from normal kitchen clean-up between cleanings - if I was willing to do some surface cleaning on the bathrooms and floors between visits, I could probably do once a month.

We have the cleaners come weekly and I do NOT pickup around the house before they come. I'm having them come to make my life easier. I was clear about this with the cleaners before they gave me a quote, so I assume the pickup time is included in the price. I don't think it would be fair to spring it on them, without being explicit, since so many people do pickup before they come.
