However, its been great. We see her about once a week, but since she's so close, the visits are usually pretty short - less than an hr, sometimes only 15 mins to visit the kids. She's also always available to help. Our relationship has definitely improved since the move.


"She"s always available to help" and I bet you abuse her availability all the tee.

/Loving" translates to"free," in most cases. OP, your children will trrat you the same as you ttesy your MIL.
