What to say during "trial" for auto ticket

Will the judge be mad you plead guilty but spent his and the courts' time trying to get the point penalty removed? Please post a follow up tomorrow.

You were wrong to plead guilty. . . Never ever plead guilty. You can admit fault right away, but never plead guilty. Once you do so the judge is compelled to punish you. What you need to do now is apologize and ask for leniency. Specifically ask for no points, if possible.

I think this is OP's plan??

OP back again--thanks for the further advice.

The ticket in my county allows for 3 options:
1. Pay the fine, get the point, be done with it.
2. Admit guilt but have court date with judge to give explanation. (my choice)
3. Go to Trial (police office, attorneys, might come, too)
