| ANYONE HAVE any recommendations for churches like these in Northern VA? |
| I was just on the UU site last night and you can search locations by zip. In in FFx Cty and there are UU churches in Burke, Vienna. sterling and Reston. |
| There's a UU church in Arlington, right on Rte. 50, I believe. |
|
Yup -- UU of Arlington is right on Rt 50, at George Mason. It's a great, supportive, welcoming community; I've been a member for about three years now. Here's the website: http://www.uucava.org/
Good luck! |
| There is also the Northern Virginia Ethical Society. I think they meet at Green Hedges School. |
| Yep, you've been given good advice. I'm agnostic and grew up going to various Christian churches in the Bible belt. My first UU experience in college was amazing. Wow -- there are other people like me? It seems an especially good place for people in your situation. There's all the church-y lesson and Sunday school and community stuff for the kiddos, but real intellectual conversation for adults. Or, if you'd prefer to skip that altogehter and just have your kid participate, that would be fine too. Basically, just a very liberal and welcoming community. |
| thanks everyone! |
9:34 if you're between 33 and 37 I probably know you I echo everything in the above post, except that ai am now back at CLUUC with my 2 kids.
