LOL, no I win -- both of my cars died today, one had to be towed in, my youngest spiked a 104.5 fever requiring me to borrow my neighbor's car to take him to the minor emerg center, and my "DH" calls from Iraq to chew me out for not having my cell phone charged! I'm trying to think back to what small mammal I must've run over to attract such bad karma today!
So, I am alone on New Year's Eve, with two sick kids, two dead cars - - and happy! I was never one who enjoyed the crowded restaurants, stuffy cocktail parties, drinking too much b/c I was bored stiff and paying for it the next day! Give me a night at home any day over traditional New Year's celebrations! ![]() |
Ooo, just noticed the PP's post about the hubby going out without her... definitely she wins! Her DH sounds like a true gem, sorry to say! Does he think this is a good way to ring in the new year? Yikes, PP - - I'm so sorry your evening turned out that way. |
I'm a young mom (20 something) at home for the third year in a row for New Year's Eve. Tonight I do feel as if I'm missing out but I won't have a hangover tomorrow and I won't wake up tomorrow to find out I spent over $100 on drinks at the bar. Next year I'm going to go out and have fun. My youngest isn't feeling well tonight so I would have felt horrible if I did go, knowing my child doesn't feel well. I also don't feel like going out because the last few months I've felt too fat to go out and wear a little black dress. My new year's resolution will fix that though because I'm going to get into shape. Little black dress, here I come! |
