Umm, our child needs her own suitcase. I find infants and young toddlers need lots of stuff. It depends where you are going, but do you need to bring diapers, changes of clothes, swim stuff, or small toys? For a child under one year we had a ton of stuff (sleep sacks, lots of extra clothes, floor blanket for under 6 months, bottles)
So we could all help more if you told us time of year (sweaters take up more room than t shirts), where you are going, age of your child, and activities you will be doing. Personally, I hate doing laundry on vacation. Especially a one week vacation- I bring enough so I don't have to do laundry. On a two week vacation I would probably have to do a laundry. |

For my toddler, I buy diapers and wipes at the destination. I'd pack:
2 pjs 1 sleepsack 4-5 onesies 3-4 pants 4-5 t-shirts couple sweaters sandals swim trunks thermometer extra sippy a few toys & books And I can live with washing a couple things out in the sink, or wearing a shirt twice, if it saves me some shlepping (which I guess is a personal preference, pretty much). |
