| Let's see if these schools mentioned in this blog increased their test scores. |
| Some schools had some hefty incentives. |
| After seeing Wilson's results. I was not too impressed. |
| Stuart Hobson students got paid for grades/attendance/good behavior under Rhee..I don't see how this is different |
| Did SH results show an improvement? |
|
Wilson is up about 1.5 overall - and we don't know if that's because of an increase in in-bound high SES kids opting for public over private.
While DCPS is bending over backwards to celebrate a .5% increase in reading overall, there's not a peep yet about the achievement gap, so it's fair to guess that it's widened again. |
| A backhanded compliment if I ever read one. |
| If we want Wilson to improve academically, we need to get a new principal. Cahall was great for getting the student behaviors back in order. Now we need someone with a more thoughtful academic vision. He is a great guy, but we clearly have a PE teacher at the helm. |

can't tell until seeing the full scores, but so far, Wilson has been the same school academically as it's always been.
As with so many other DC schools, there's no evidence that the principal has done or can do anything to improve academics |
