Only bitterwseet chocolate!
I recommend savoring a Lindt 70% square, with an expresso. Or if baking, Caillebaut chunks (Whole Foods), at least 65% (in a pinch, 54% will do, but then put in less sugar). I have never liked food that is very sweet - hate frosting, white choco, fudge, etc... My son is the same, and my daughter will eat anything. |

I like 85 % or darker.
Growing up it was Hershey's Milk Chocolate or nothing. As I've gotten older, I've really developed a taste for darker chocolate. |
| i've always preferred dark chocolate, too -- seems like the real thing. i could go the rest of my life without milk chocolate, but i'd rather not go a day without dark (though i often do, sadly). my son likes it, too! |

to me, its th quality of the chocolate that matters. While generally I prefer dark ,I'd take green and black organic milk chocolate with almonds over hershey's special dark anyway.
right now I"m no dairy/soy for allergies (breastfeeding) so the only bar I've found that works is a dark (70 percent) trader joes organic brand. Its pretty good. I freaking miss ice cream though! |
| Used to love milk chocolate.. Switched to dark for a healthier option and it is an acquired taste IMHO. Now i prefer dark and find milk chocolate unsatisying and kind of bleh. But damn Im not turning any of it away! |
| I've liked dark chocolate best ever since I was a kid. I don't usually bother eating milk chocolate. |
