I'm not anti-hunting (dh hunts) but even he would agree that this is totally trophy hunting. They are not doing it for any other reason than to shoot big game. I'm sure the outfitter offers to donate the meat to villagers but that has nothing to do with why they hunt. DH would not hunt elephants or cheetahs or alligators because he would not eat the meat himself. If there was an overpopulation problem he could probably be convinced. He does hunt dear and we eat the meat. Elk too.
For those that want to take down big game, they do have eco-hunts where you shoot the animals with a tranquilizer so they can be tagged or evaluated. Signed, Just another hunting family in Bethesda |
| oops deer. sorry dear. |

I'm not a hunter but you usually hang animals for posing and draining blood. Especially big animals like sharks and aligators. Just look at Nat Geo magazine or any pictures of African hunters.

Any you wonder why people don't take you seriously when there is a real racial issue. Sometimes it's best to just keep quiet. - AA Male |
I'm not American and I don't know or care about Trump & Obama situation...! So narrow minded. |
So immature. |

I seems that many women D.C. women, do not like or care about animals. From other threads as well.
Very cold-blooded. It's all about money I guess, just like the stupid vapid TV show. |
Daft comment. |
| I don't understand all this concern about "game" animals and how cruel it is to hunt. How is it any worse than what happens to the cattle, chickens, pigs and fish in your supermarket. Is it just that those animals are already cut up, packaged and sealed before you see them? I dare say the game animals had better lives that the factory farm animals you eat every day. Get a clue, folks. |
No it is not worse - a lot of those animals are abused and that is ALSO terrible. I do have a clue, thank you. |
You are right, we are all the same. Just a bunch of cold hearted bitches as seen on dc urban moms! |

Hmmm it is legal right? you don't like it, too bad. What have you done to change the laws in Zambia ?
How is that leather purse you have working for you? Have any other exotic leathers in your closet? |
Not a lot. The vast majority. |
Wow, I wanted to visit D.C., but I think I'll skip it. Thanks for the tip. Anyway I hope this thread can end now (please). |
