Reactions to passage of 'ultrasound bill' in VA

Just ignore the troll. He says the same crap on all these threads. No point wasting your efforts.

What you people don't get is that there is a population of the united states that believes life begins before the time you are allowed to abort. So think of it this way, if there is a life in your body and you are choosing to kill it you bet your hoe bag ass that there will be a law to protect a life. That's whats it about not womens rights bs. If there is another life in the woman its not just 1 right its 2 and according to the Constitution you protect every person.

First trimester abortions are legal in the U.S. but Virginia's Governor, A.G. and most of its legislature are quite open and honest that they think abortion is wrong and will do everything in their powers to make abortions expensive, time consuming, hard to find, awkward and downright awful as possible. They also want to let you know that they are laying the groundwork to have all involved with abortions liable to be prosecuted at some point in the future.

The bill confirms pretty much all of my negative attitudes about the Commonwealth.

I sort of used to feel this way, until someone explained it to me as follows: you have two living entities here -- a woman, and a first trimester fetus. If the mother doesn't want to carry the pregnancy, then you have a situation where you can not protect the rights of both -- that is, either you trample on the rights of the woman and force her to carry the pregnancy, or you trample on the "rights" of the fetus and abort it. In cases like this, how can we not choose to protect the woman's rights over those of the fetus? It is a horrible choice to have to make, and I personally would never ever have an abortion, but we can't make that choice for others. And yes, it is indeed terminating a life - it is a sad reality, but there's no way around abortion, except to eliminate the need for an abortion in the first place.

I agree with both your conclusion and the pain you feel about it. I have tried to write more, but I can't say it as well as you already have.

too bad they didn't seriously consider the bill about men needing a rectal exam and stress test before being prescribed Viagra.
lots of fat, old white men in the VA general assembly.

It seems that every safe guard and far reaching exception has been met, so now if you are having an abortion due to convenience you will need to get an ultrasound that you NEEDED TO GET ANYWAYS before getting an abortion.

If it was needed "anyways" they would not have passed the law, now would they?

Before you execute someone they get a trial, this is the closest thing for the unborn

No that was Roe v Wade. That was the actual day in Court.
