How much do you really know about Baltimore or Richmond?

| never been to richmond. lived in bmore for 4 years so i know it well. love it for its totally unique, quirky approach to everything, hated it because they had a beautiful little city there that is going to seed. |

| OP here, DH wants to move into the Baltimore area. I have been to the inner harbor area but do not know very much about the city. But I have heard that Richmond is better if you want want city living. Then there is Annapolis and that seems a bit more suburban I believe. |

| If you have school-aged kids, I wouldn't subject them to the mess that is the Baltimore City Public School system. Look in Baltimore County and there are some great neighborhoods and schools there. Plus, the commute downtown isn't horrible. |
