IUI on weekends

PP, Depends on your age, histiry, FSH (ovarian reserve) and other bloodwork results. Everyone is different! Impossible for an anonymous forum to say.....good luck.

23:00: If you don't have any known fertility issues, having regular, timed intercourse, is actually probably more effective than IUI. With IUI you only get one shot per cycle, whereas if you're having regularly timed intercourse during your fertile period, you've got more opportunities. The success rates on IUIs are actually pretty low.
I'd try making time in your schedules for you & spouse to be in the same room together for 5-6 days before trying expensive medical intervention.

23:00 here: Correct- I am asking because it's just not possible for us to be together for that much time in the next year, and we'd like to get started sooner rather than later. Just trying to assess how viable IUI is in our case.

I had my IUI done on a weekend at Columbia Fertility. The RE's there seem to never take vacations and they work every day! Great for us, not so great for them!
