TV shows for 8 and 10y.o. girls?

My nieces and daughter have always enjoyed Gilmore Girls. It's probably more for the 10-12 yo bracket but the messages are pretty positive and the language is overall mild. It's an older show but I think reruns are still around.

Second on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Mine (8 & 10) love the oldies: Get Smart, Bewitched and Gilligan's Island.
Also, they spent an hour watching "Too Cute" on Animal Planet. An entire show built around video of puppies
and kittens. But it was a hit and was very cute!
