Is anyone else having to pay a sizable tax bill?

Indeed--I have the same question?

My kids are homeschooled, so our property taxes go to other kids' educations. We pay for our own insurance, and they are rarely sick. We live under the same roof, drive in the same car, share clothes and toys. And if they grow up to stay home with their children, well, they will also be raising future workers for our great country. Furthermore, we let the breadwinner of our family go to war to defend our country, and our boys want to be Marines like their dad.

So how does SIMPLY having a large family rate higher taxes?

Are you aware of the demographic challenges facing the world economy?

I'm estimating $110K, plus $50K for my new quarterly taxes. That is an insane amount of money. And that is on top of the $120K I already paid.

It is in large part because I did a Roth rollover for several hundred thousand and I had a phenomenal year and sold an investment very profitably. Still it is an insane bill.

Gee, sorry you have such a big tax bill.

Uh...school? Unless you're homeschooling, every additional kid is a substantial drain on public resources. Cost per pupil in Fairfax County is about $13k per year, other jurisdictions are much higher.

Paid $112K on $421K of income for fed tax only. Huge bill.

My taxes are almost double what you stated. The whole system is insane.

Ours is estimated to be about 40k, plus we have to pay the first installment of quarterly taxes for the next year of probably 70k.

Double $230K - so, about $460K in taxes? You're making well in excess of a million dollars a year. Yes, life must be difficult. We really should change things to give you a break.

Yes. Because we make a lot of money. Isn't that really what you are asking?

We make a lot bit work hard and resent having to fund lazy people who have kids they can not afford.

Yes, because one child households with dual career parents making 120K HHI are LAZY. And yet, they pay the same percentage of their income as you, and you don't hear them complaining about poor people not "paying their fair share".
