Is 36D a hard to find bra size?

If you have a D cup, the cute $10 stuff from VS won't hold them. The think straps will dig into your shoulders and your back will hurt.

With such a large cup (H here if that matters) you'll want to prioritize support and not looks. And a good quality bra is expensive.

I go to Kohls on Kcash days and get some of the investment back. Also look for sales. They often have buy one get one free. K also offers coupons online, just sign up at their website. Their prices are the best.

Thanks, I don't understand the LOL. I know all about Kohls, my original post says I went to Kohls. Such limited supply, and 36D came in one style of the brand that I like (Warners, no underwire). I definitely am not looking for VS bras, I never bought from there to begin with. I don't need anything particularly fancy or cute, just was looking for a little variety...

I LOL because you complained about the price. The larger you go the more support and quality you need meaning the price will go up. I mostly laughed because you said you "refuse" to pay $40 in a bra so I assumed with a B cup you were used to the teen stuff with thin straps that costs $10 everywhere (including at K).

You said you went there, great I read that and suggested you went back there when they have sales using the coupons on Kcash day. You can do that, you know? And the bra will cost around $40 but it will last YEARS. Much better than paying $20 every few months.

Why are you so grumpy anyway?

Wow, if that makes her this grouchy I can't imagine how she'll act once life hits her hard...

Not cheap but I buy from BOUNCE on-line. Part of Title Nine athletics. I am a runner so need good bras with support. They have sales. Might check there.

quality bras are never cheap. I get mine at title nine sports.

I'm a 36 D and I am also having this problem. The only place I could go to find bras was VS. I found one at Meijer and it is super ugly. But it gives me some support at least. You just gotta look hard.

Yes it can be hard to find. Go to Nordstrom's and get fitted. If they don't have something in your price range, then buy online once you are sure of your size. I pay for quality and only buy a few bras, washing regularly. As a D cup you are best off with under wire or your boobs won't look as good. I went under wire free with my nursing bras and was sooo much happier with how I looked when I went back to under wire. I'm 34D FWIW.

Get fitted but then go to Nordstroms Outlet. I have a large chest and find good brands for large sizes for about 15 dollars.

Ooops, I'm 8:46. I meant Nordstrom's Rack

My suggestion too. Get properly fitted at nordstrom, intimacy or trousseau. Then go to Nordstrom Rack or look on amazon. I've been able to get $70-100 bras for under $30 by shopping smart. 36D is a very common size you shouldn't have trouble.

PP here, I meant you shouldn't have trouble finding it online. I'm a less common size and find tons!

I am a 36D and I get Wacoals from freshpair.com. Once you get fitted and find a style you like (Nordstrom, Sylene), it's easy. But good bras cost $50 at this size and it is well worth the money.

OMG, try being a 38B. Effing impossible to find things.

You should also try 38 C. I had a fitter at Victoria's Secret tell me that certain size bras are twins. You can usually go down one cup size if you go up one band size. I was looking for a 32D and they had only a few, but she steered me to the 34 C and they are fine. It was a helpful tip.

This has been a goldmine for bras for me. I'm also pregnant, so starting at a 36D, and only getting bigger, this has been really helpful. I just wish they had sports bras too!
