Kohl's...what kind of store is it? What do you buy there?

Anonymous
It doesn't matter whose name is on the clothing -- it's all made very cheaply and does not hold up well. I used to LOVE Kohl's (mainly because of the discounts). But now I find that I get very few things there because I'm tired of my hems becoming unstiched or countless strings hanging from my blouses. I just get kids pjs and housewares there now. Also, if you don't have a discount, the full price they ask for things is just ridiculous.

Don't go on about Kohl's - my friends are still blowing their husband's paycheck and their children's tuition at Nordstrom!

You can buy lots of clothes to wear to Applebees

Who the fuck cares?

Love Kohl's for boys clothes, some housewares, menswear, casual women's wear (workout clothes, basic knit shirts and sweaters, socks, Levis). I'd probably get workwear at Macy's, but Kolh's has lots of great stuff.

Some of you (Applebee's comments and the like) have some elitist issues to work on.

I'm a fan of Kohl's. Most clothes have held up quite well, with the exception of men's dress shirts. Not sure what brand DH is buying there, but a number of them developed holes (strangely) in the forearm area.

In addition to Vera Wang, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony now have collections there.

I knew the snobs would come out. ROFLMAO! Oh yes, they must be all billionaires with Oxford educations - hardly! Everyone I know who is does NOT act like PP's!

OP, did you enjoy your trip to Kohl's, we hope? Did you find any goodies?

But we made it all the way to page two before the snobs arrived. Maybe it's a sign of new found civility on DCUM.

I just discovered Kohl's recently. The Applebee's poster can suck it (just kidding). But I was surprised to see that the non-discounted stuff was overpriced and definitely not cheap. I only buy stuff on sale - clothing for the kids, mostly. I really like it there.

I buy my son's clothes there - I think it is better quality and less costly than Target, equal quality and less costly than Old Navy. I also buy occasional housewear stuff - sheets, towels, etc.

What are the snobs so snobby about? I mean, just look at them! They sure are funny.

And if you get a Kohls credit card, they send you coupons monthly (either 15%, 20%, or 30% off.) I wait till I get a 30% off and stock up.

I buy almost all my children's clothes there. I have the Kohls credit card, so I get coupons every few weeks. They carry Levis, which hold up really well. Lots of carters clothing. Jumping Bean doesn't hold up as well, but when you buying t-shirts for an 18 month old that will only wear it for 3 months before he outgrows it, who cares. I average around $5 per piece of kids clothing.
For my husband, I buy underwear and t-shirts. Same brand names as elsewhere, but with a 30% off coupon I'm saving money.
