I appreciate my body. I just prefer having my pants fit correctly and not being asked when I'm due twice a week. |

My abs have never been the same.
I carried both pregnancies....waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy out front. I was all-belly and it was a GIGANTIC one. People used to stare and think I was carrying triplets. I was totally rock hard before pregnancy and my stomach/tiny waist was my crown glory...since I tended to have muscular thighs and broader shoulders--athlete's build. Post babies--- I dropped all of the weight (and a little more)--but my body shape is slightly off. I still can many, many run 7-8 minute miles in a row and at least 5-6 per day. I still lift weights 4-5 times/per week and do all types of core training. 3.5 years post my second kid---my stomach has visible muscles---but there is still a bit of a pooch---it's hard...it's almost as if my stomach curves a bit outward. This isn't probably noticeable to most people but I notice if I wear something very fitted. It is annoying--but I also am not going to starve myself (besides I don't think that will make it go away). I asked gyn if it was a split muscle or whatever the hell ppl call it--but alas 'no'. My boobs are not the same either--but that's another story. I think you can make great progress but upping cardio and core like pilates, etc. I do a lot of the ab weight machines (really like the one you put plates on and lean forward or sideways)--but it might not ever be the same. I think there is some genetic propensity to how our bodies go back after pregnancy (barring surgery). My family isn't like the ones that are super flat belly and no evidence the kid came out of them. I had natural childbirths---non-C sections fWIw. |

Me too! I've never had a baby but I am skinny with a muffin top! Do a cleanse. They are amazing. Literally lost the belly in two weeks.

No it is not, someone like the op (and myself) laser lipo is the way to go. No downtime, no pain. I too am fit and was 145 at 5'9". With laser lipo I dropped to 140 and have a perfectly flat belly. I also exercise like an idiot, but did not want to look like a skeleton which is what it would have taken to lose my belly fat. I probably would have had to get to 130 to lose my belly, but that would have made my legs look like chopsticks and my hips and ass non existent...I'm not a fan of the Jen Aniston body. |
I agree! I don't want to be a skeleton in order to lose the muffin top! |
