Where did you go to school? Everyone I've met from Georgetown has been nice, but I went to Yale and they probably I'm the JERK. |
| That has been my experience. I went to a public university and was told by one GU grad that I went to a third tier school. On another occasion I was informed by a GU grad that I was "public school trash". These are 2 obvious nasty comments, but, like I said, all the GU graduates I have met are JERKS! Some people are very proud of where they went to college and that is great. But you don't have to be a JERK about it! How old are you? |
HBS grad here. Nice spelling PP. |
| Close down the Ivy's--overpriced, over-rated, and under-educated. |
Well, there's Thurgood Marshall. Unless you want to argue that desegregating public schools wasn't a significant contribution to society, of course. Barry Scheck -- freeing innocent people from death row with DNA evidence DOES cut down on public expenditures at least a bit, doesn't it? And then there's Marie-Therese Connolly, who won the MacArthur Genius grant this year for her pioneering work against elder abuse. Though, obviously, that one might defeat my purpose, since elderly people who are rescued from abuse and exploitation do live longer and that tends to make them more expensive overall... I know I am laying on the snark a bit thick here. But for heaven's sake, this is crazy. A law degree is like any other tool: you can use it to build or to destroy. It's an individual choice. |
| Is OP the same person filing all resumes with penn state as school in the circular bin? |
| Why are all of you so illiterate? |
You have self-esteem issues. This thread was started to discuss OP's view that a lot of leaders in the political and financial realms have graduated from specific programs at Harvard. Instead of addressing OP's ideas, you keep yammering on about some GU grads who've said nasty things to you. Seriously, what does that have to do with anything originally discussed here? Maybe people are picking on you because you come across as an unconfident person. In terms of the "jerk" concept -given the current state of disarray of so many arena (political/financial/social), I would gladly see a few "jerks" at the helm if that was a just a personality quirk, but they were able to produce positive results and get things back on track. |
| PP: You sound like a jerk. Bottom line. |
|
sure, let's have a bunch of mindless ideologues from a 3rd rate place like Geo. Mason Law instead, right ?
Sheesh .... no fan of Harvard/Yale here but the OP is just idiotic drivel. |
I have to say I have yet to be the least bit impressed with any Duke graduates I have met. I was accepted there and just found the whole fraternity/sorority drinking atmosphere a bit much. Carry on... |
| I never get GU. It's a freakin' religiously affiliated school. So why are grads proud and uppity? Oh, forgot. It is a religiously-affiliated school. |
