Question about $$$ jeans

I usually wear my jeans twice before I wash them. And one of those times is usually only for a few hours, like when i go out at night. Then I wash them inside out to try to keep them dark as long as possible. (and I wear underwear with them.)

I do buy the same jeans over and over, but sometimes I like a different look. I have Lucky jeans for more casual outfits and I've found some nice J Crew trouser jeans for a slightly more formal look.

I wear Joe's, 7's, COH, and Paiges's and ALWAYS throw them in the wash after wearing them at most twice. I've never heard of not washing jeans, makes me cringe actually!

I've had most of my jeans for around 2 years with weekly washes and haven't had any issues with any of them.

Use to wear rock and republics all the time and washing ruined a few pairs. Definitely did not wash them every time. Finally started to dry clean them. If you're jeans cost more than $100 - I would say dry clean them.

I've had R&Rs and always washed them. Never had a problem at all. What happened to yours??

I sense it's the same demographic at least and it would be rather fascinating if there was some overlap among the two trendy young groups.

"fascinating" as in, "I need some hand sanitizer" fascinating.

Okay, I am soooo grossed out by the not washing your jeans thing.

I am sorry, that is disgusting.

Do you wear them to clubs? The metro? Garlic smelling restaurants? What about wearing them during certain times of the month, or after sex?

I just can't even imagine the nastiness. And to think, a few threads ago people were up in arms about wearing shoes in the house. This is way ickier than that. Ewwww!

Ya'll, the not washing jeans (at all or very rarely) is for high-end raw denim. Most high-end denim is not raw. Still, it will last longer and wear better if washed inside-out and not put in the dryer.

To the PP, Lucky is not really "premium" denim. J Brand is.

You don't have to wash pants after every wearing unless you are such a germaphobe that you can't imagine doing so. I go a few wearings before tossing mine in the wash and they're absolutely fine - not gross at all. If they get dirty while I'm wearing them, then I'd wash them. Most of the time, though, they're not filthy and they don't smell.

PP Your jeans may not be filthy after wearing them but they are still dirty--yuck. This thread is just about the most disgusting thing I have read in awhile.

I sometimes wear clothes two or three times before washing if they are not obviously dirty, but tight jeans start to smell pretty ripe in the crotch area by the second day. (Yes, I wear underwear.)

fyi, most of the time, people can't smell/notice their own stinky scents as well as other people can.

Where can I buy J brand jeans? I need to try them on--so not online.

Thanks!
